Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy is the latest star to appear on Sound Advice, the web series from Saturday Night Live star Vanessa Bayer where she plays a career coach, but ultimately just highlights all the ridiculous things we love about our favorite bands.
In the latest episode, the "Keep On Keeping On" MC gets some straight talking to about his style ("Could we take all of this and make it a little bit less?"), tattoos ("Do you think your Daryl Hall and John Oates tattoos really jive with the whole hip-hop scene?"), lyrics ("If you're going to talk about a movie, you might want to pick one that resonates more with your fans. Maybe Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs?") and more.
There's a particularly hilarious jab at his band Gym Class Heroes. Bayer asks, "So Gym Class Heroes is considered a 'rap-rock band' along with Limp Bizkit and ... that's pretty much it. Do you feel like Limp Bizkit paved the way for you guys?"
