Reginae Carter Talks Working with Dad Lil Wayne and Advice from Rihanna

It's not everyday that you come across a 15-year-old with a hip hop single, tour schedule, clothing line and published book under her belt. Reginae "Nae-Nae" Carter, daughter of Lil Wayne and recent Young Money signee, is set to take the world by storm with her upcoming debut LP, Becoming Reginae. Stopping by the Fuse studio for an exclusive performance of "Mind Goin Crazy," the rising star also discussed her aspirations and what it's like having a rap legend as her father and boss.

"Lil Wayne 'The Boss' has high expectations for my career, so he's on me. He's like, 'Okay, you have to do this.' He teaches me what to do and how because he knows about it already," Carter said. "Lil Wayne 'The Dad'—he's fun; he's like my best friend. At home, he's Dad unless a business call comes in!"

Nae-Nae also revealed what her idol Rihanna whispered into her ear at the Drake vs. Lil Wayne show in Queens, NY. Explaining that she looks up to the Barbadian singer for her style and attitude, she gushed over RiRi's words of encouragement.

"[Rihanna] said, 'You're beautiful. I just want to tell you don't let anybody tell you what you can and cannot do—girl or boy. You're beautiful, and follow your dreams.'"
