If Taylor Swift is known for one thing beyond her music, it's heartbreak. She's queen of having boys at her disposal, but they're also the cause of her misery. With The Giver, she's shed that mentality, playing Rosemary, Jeff Bridges' sweet (and musically inclined!) and otherwise emotionless daughter in the cinematic adaptation of Lois Lowry's novel.
The role is drastically different from her music as a result. "To me, emotion is such an important part of my life and now I guess my job,” the singer told Entertainment Tonight. Rosemary's a minor character in the dystopian classic, so it'll be interesting to see how things unfold with Tay's portrayal on the big screen. “People wouldn't listen to my songs if they weren't heartbroken or deeply affected and hurt and jilted and sad and bitter and all those wonderful things that I write songs about."
That's not true... but we love you, Taylor!
