Buoyed by the strength of singles "Heroes" and "Tear the Roof Up," Swedish DJ Alesso is on the verge of becoming as well-known as peers like Calvin Harris and Skrillex.
While he got his start doing remixes, drawing the attention of folks like Swedish House Mafia's Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso is now almost ready to unveil his debut album. You can watch an exclusive interview with him above where he talks all about it.
Alesso mentions "elements that I've never used before" making their way onto the album, which should excite current fans–but newcomers who discovered him through his latest hit "Tear the Roof Up" will be most interested in what the DJ has to say about the single's music video.
"We had the opportunity to make a different kind of music video, something we've never done before–something I haven't seen in dance music before," he explained. The music video was premiered via Snapchat on Friday and you can now watch it on YouTube.
Be sure to check out the full interview above if you want more details about "Tear the Roof Up" and Alesso's upcoming album, as well as some insight into why he loves doing collaborations.
