Pharrell's "It Girl" Video Is an Explosion of Anime, NES Video Games
Here's something to wake you up this morning: Pharrell's new video for "It Girl" is here, and it's an awesome explosion of colorful, cutesy, at-times pervy anime and NES video game (remember those?) visuals. Watch above as The Voice coach gets transformed into all types of adorable cartoon characters as he searches for the (animated) girl of his dreams.
Pharrell skateboards through floating fruit, avoids deadly-but-adorable crabs on the beach and takes a ride in a flying whale with his gal. Yeah, sounds like your typical video game adventure to us.
According to Stereogum, the stunning visual was produced by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, who you know for crafting Kanye's Graduation album artwork.
