Watch a "Vintage Bluegrass Hoedown" Cover of Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda"

Here's something we weren't expecting to hear today: Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" done "vintage bluegrass hoedown" style. And the results are just as brilliantly bizarre as you'd expect them to be.

Postmodern Jukebox (who you remember turned Psy's "Gentleman" into a swinging jazz affair) have turned Nicki's hip hop production into an old school bluegrass joint complete with loads of banjo pluckin'. The MC's fiery raps are now country croons with Sir Mix-a-Lot's "My anaconda don't!" line now a harmony-driven bluegrass chorus.

All in all, we almost forget that the song is all about butts...especially when the group changes the iconic "Oh my gosh, look at her butt" line to "Oh my garsh, look at that banjo"—twangy accent included, of course.
