So, in the movies, an adorable kid usually isn't an accessory for armed robbery and all that, but Hozier flipped the script on an action flick trope for his latest music video.
In "From Eden," the "Take Me To Church" singer trades in his somber sentimentality for a light-hearted romp through the desert that ends in handcuffs. The tune shirks the coils of the heaviness of his previous singles, and the video—which has the Irish singer/songwriter breaking and entering and robbing gas stations at gunpoint with his lady love—pairs these intense situations with gorgeous photography and an otherwise lovely scene unfolding between two people and a kid.
He's not their kid, though, as the drama develops. While a little boy accompanies Hozier and Lady on their heist, it turns out that they encountered the boy while breaking into another home, and they found more than the bargained for in their accidental partner in crime.
Watch the intensely cinematic video above, and stay tuned for more info on Hozier's happenings. After a huge year that culminated in achieving serious breakout artist status with his self-titled debut, he'll be hitting the road stateside in 2015 on a slew of sold-out dates. Hope you got your tickets, but if you didn't, you can always hit replay on "From Eden" and picture a life of leisure and larceny with your favorite Irish export.
