Dollhouses, doilies and big, girly hair bows were all the rage for Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass," but the singer is shelving the pretty pastels for an edgier look with "Lips Are Movin"—and the style shift definitely makes a statement!
With "Lips Are Movin," Meghan's taking a guy to task and kicking him to the curb after she figures out that he's been double-timing her with another girl. She embraces black leather, lots of candy apple red and some fierce dance moves while wardrobe and makeup deck her out as the set of the video is built around her.
Her newly adopted diva demeanor reflects the single's confidence and no nonsense 'tude, though the cheekiness and big-eyed adorable vibes of "All About That Bass" definitely haven't gone anywhere.
"Lips Are Movin" is a super-meta technicolor dance party, complete with confetti, pop art and the endearing self-awareness Meghan brings to every track. An additional bonus is found in Les Twins, the incredible breakdancing brotherly duo who are best known for the havoc they wreak onstage during Beyoncé's tours.
After a huge fall with the drop of her massive debut hit and EP, Meghan's got a big holiday season ahead: She's performing at the Thanksgiving Day Parade next week and her hotly anticipated full-length will drop January 13.
