The Vamps Love Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes and Turkey

Have you met The Vamps? Because they want to meet you.

The UK-based pop act is starting to make a name for itself–they've toured with Taylor Swift and Austin Mahone this year, and their debut full-length album, Meet The Vamps, was released in the U.S. on November 4. The quartet stopped by Trending 10 today–you can watch their interview from the show above!

With such a whirlwind year coming to an end, lead guitarist James McVey had a mixed answer when asked about his highlight from the band's young career. "The album coming out has been really important," McVey begins seriously, before adding: "And meeting Taylor Swift was a nice moment for me. I didn't speak for about two hours afterwards."

Shell-shocking celebrity encounters aside, The Vamps are beginning to fit right into the mix of fresh new pop groups. They toured with Shawn Mendes and Fifth Harmony, and developed a quick relationship with Mendes. He appeared on a new version of their single "Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart)," an adaptation of Simon & Garfunkel's "Cecilia"–nice throwback, guys!
