Last year Gerard Way made My Chemical Romance fans very happy by returning to the music world with a surprising Britpop-inspired solo album, Hesitant Alien. The emo icon hit the ground running, performing at Reading & Leeds before embarking on an extensive U.S. tour. Way is still on the road, in Europe, and apparently those attendees are in for a treat: The "No Shows" singer has been performing two new tracks in his encore, "Don't Try" and "Kid Nothing."
The singer shared the information with the rest of the world via Twitter, writing, "I hear y'all been loving the encore song, 'Don't Try.' It never made the cut for the album but it is f*cking BANGING live-will have to revisit," adding that the tune was meant to be released on Hesitant Alien, but was left on the cutting room floor. "'Don't Try' is an unreleased Hesitant Alien song. Unfinished studio version exists, along with some others. Figuring out what to do with them," he wrote.
"Kid Nothing" is a different story; a completely new track Gerard debuted live in London. Check out "Don't Try" above and "Kid Nothing" below. Fingers crossed for an HQ version in our future!
