Following the release of the award-winning Kurt Cobain documentary Montage of Heck—directed by Kurt's daughter, Frances Bean—hunger for Nirvana content is at an all time high. Pop culture has been totally obsessed with the tragic story of Cobain's suicide since it happened, and some take it a step further: They don't believe the damaged man died at his own hand, but that wife and Hole frontwoman Courtney Love gets that title.
Enter Soaked in Bleach, a "docudrama" following the popular conspiracy theory that Kurt was murdered. Today the flick gets a trailer and yeah, it's kind of embarrassingly ridiculous.
The clip begins with recordings (the term used loosely) of Love telling police officers she found Kurt's suicide note underneath her pillow and the cop telling her that's impossible, they looked there. It continues with floating text: "Five days before the body was found, Tom Grant received a call," "more that two decades ago the case was closed," "the top experts will open our eyes," and other similar nonsense. It concludes with a fake Courtney Love–type figure announcing, "How's that for a spin?"
Rage-watch above, and wash the taste out of your mouth with some classic photos of Kurt Cobain.
