On this Tuesday's Got Ur # we catch up with grinding Atlanta emcee Rich Homie Quan to get the latest update on his debut album. After three years in the game and numerous mixtapes, the rapper says it's time for a proper album and that it will be here this fall!
In a first-look clip from our interview (above) Quan says the project is still untitled because he wants it to be something meaningful that sums up the whole story of the album. He also explains how he views his album different than his mixtapes, saying there will be "more storytelling."
While well known for guest appearances on hits like YG's "My N***a" in 2013 and "Lifestyle" in 2014 with Young Thug, most of Quan's own mixtape tracks are solo cuts. For his album, however, Quan plans on a lot of collaborations, but not with other rappers – with "soulful" singers. He names John Legend and Beyoncé as guests on his wish list.
Don't miss Rich Homie Quan on Got Ur # this Tuesday at 7/6c.
