Vic Mensa and Kanye West's Summer Bruiser "U Mad" Has a Wild New Video

Fast-rising Chicago 22-year-old Vic Mensa got a major boost on Kanye West's "Wolves," followed by a 'Ye assist on the smashing single "U Mad." The track picks up where O.G. Maco's "You Guessed It" left off, and the video is similarly bruising. (P.S., Mensa also signed to Roc Nation in April.)

This video's already the best part of your Wednesday. Mensa's in a black straitjacket. Everything's the color of horror movie blood, including Vic's naked torso and its 1993 tatt. Yeezy steps out of the shadows to start his verse like a villain sliding onto the scene. Sparks everywhere. By the end, police are out in riot gear, fucking up the fun.

Kanye's "U Mad" verse contains, without a doubt, one of the 12 Best Lyrics Since Yeezus. Can't beat that Montell Jordan reference.

No word on when Swish is coming—although it might show up on Apple's newly announced Apple Music?—but Mensa's debut album, Traffic, is supposed to be coming this year. We need that. Soon. Especially when this is the (eight-month-old!) word straight from the source:
