Demi Lovato Slays in Skimpy Outfits for Makeout-Heavy New Video

Update (7/23): It's here! Demi Lovato's "Cool for the Summer" is not only a perfect-pop banger about of sexual fluidity, but its video also sees the star breaking new ground. Demi is full-on embracing her physicality (after years of struggling with body-image issues and eating disorders) by rocking some skimpy numbers and confidently strutting her stuff while doing so.

If you get a chance to take your eyes off Lovato, you'll notice a slew of fellow hotties all making out with one another in a colorful, vibrant club world that looks like a teenage summer paradise.

When the media began wondering if Demi's new single's rock sound and subject matter were too close to Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl," our heroine fought back saying, "[The song] sounds nothing like it and with all the advances we've made in the LGBT community, I think more than one female artist can kiss a girl and like it." We're happy to see Demi doing what she wants, and looking happier and more confident than ever doing it.

Peep the must-see visual above and then check out the track's original, sunny lyric video below.

Original Story (7/7): Last week the world was introduced to Demi Lovato's new sound via the delicious pop tune, "Cool for the Summer." It was a little bit Katy, a little bit Taylor and a whole lot of Demi...plus some Halsey for an edgy flair.

The world (and radio waves) instantly became better for it. Today, our pop princess has delivered a lyric video for the single, and it's every bit as tasty as you'd imagine.

Scenes of the beach and a sunny day in downtown L.A. are juxtaposed with a NYC pool party, attended by a few dozen of Lovato's closest friends.
