Kanye West and Oscar-winning director Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave, Hunger, Shame) have had a bromance going for a while. They worked together on Yeezy's "Blood on the Leaves" performance at the 2013 VMAs; McQueen had a long talk with West in Interview in 2014—and scored an invite to the Kimye nuptials.
It all built to 'Ye and McQueen linking up for "All Day/I Feel Like That," a two-song, nine-minute music video that premiered at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art over the weekend. Watch the fan-filmed footage of the "I Feel Like That" portion above.
Vanity Fair reports that the visual "was shot in a single take at a historic dockyard outside of London." It's a striking reminder of how physically grueling rapping can be, with 'Ye completely sapped by the end of "All Day."
But "I Feel Like That" brings Yeezus back. It's the first time we've heard the song; our last fresh taste of the still-shadowy Swish album came five months ago with the flamethrower-filled live debut of "All Day." "I Feel Like That" has an Auto-Tune backbone with spoken word–style Kanye on top. If we don't get the high-quality version within five to seven days, we'll crumble into dust.
