'The Night Before' Trailer Spends Time Dissecting "Wrecking Ball"
We're finally getting the Seth Rogen Christmas movie we've always deserved.
This holiday season, Rogen, along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie, star in The Night Before, and the very much R-rated trailer is here for your viewing pleasure. In it, the guys decide to go for their annual night on the town on Christmas Eve, perhaps their last one together as Mackie's character is now famous and Rogen is about to have his first child. Seems innocuous, right? Yeah, sure, until Rogen's wife, played by Jillian Bell, gives the trio a SMORGASBORD OF DRUGS, and it's off to the races in a Red Bull-sponsored stretch hummer in downtown Manhattan.
Along the way, they opt to hit multiple holiday traditions rather than just Christmas—and to debate the merits of Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" two years after the fact. "You can cry to it, you can run to it, you can party to it," Mindy Kaling imparts in a very real, accurate moment.
Sound like the kind of holiday entertainment you can get behind? The Night Before hits theaters in time for Thanksgiving on Nov. 25. Miley is actually in it, as is, reportedly, Kanye West.
