Demi Lovato Does Singing Telegrams, Was a Feminist "Before It Was Cool"

Demi Lovato is making the promo rounds on behalf of her sizzling new single "Cool for the Summer"—an excellent song of the summer underdog.

For her latest spot, she joined comedian James Corden for a segment on his Late Late Show where the two delivered singing telegrams to random people. Watch above as the duo belt charming tunes to a hair stylist and a dentist, the latter of whom ends up getting his shaved by Ms. Lovato in an unexpected twist of telegram events.

Demi's also landed herself on the cover of Cosmopolitan this month, where the singer had some choice words for the supposed "trend" of talking about feminism among her fellow pop stars.

"I considered myself a feminist before it was cool," she told the mag. "Now everyone is claiming it."

No real telling if those are choice words for the likes of Taylor Swift and friends, but either way these latest moves are sure to get people talking about her upcoming album, which Demi described as "provocative" in a recent interview. "I have all these things that make me a role model," she told Ryan Seacrest. "But at the same time, none of these things are representing the badass that I am."

If you're cool with "Cool for the Summer," go cast your vote for Demi in our Song of the Summer Underdogs poll. And have you seen that video yet? Yowza.
