New 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Footage? Like We'd Ever Say No to That
The successors to the fallen Empire in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens are known as the First Order, and thanks to a new teaser the franchise shared on its Instagram, we can see they've got serious firepower. The clip opens on the First Order assembled in their hundreds (thousands?), paired with that chilling, "There's been an awakening—have you felt it?" voiceover from Andy Serkis' Supreme Leader Snoke. (We only know all this stuff because we keep a Star Wars: The Force Awakens Google search tab open at all times and refresh every 40-60 seconds.) Looks like the good guys have plenty of fighting left to do.
From there it's on to a quick glimpse of Daisy Ridley's Rey and the potential R2-D2 heir BB-8. And, sorry to bury the lead, but it looks like Attack the Block's John Boyega is either a Jedi or a (reformed? Double agent?) Stormtrooper with access to a blue lightsaber.
