The thing about the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is that it's inarguably the best zoo in America. (Nope, sit down, San Diego's not as good.) The Ohio institution's new campaign to get Taylor Swift to visit later this week just makes them even cooler.
Several employees created a video shared on the zoo's official Facebook and YouTube pages late last week parodying Swift's (problematic?) "Wildest Dreams," with slight recreations of the Joseph Kahn-directed clip interspersed with staff playing around with cheetah cubs, lions and more in their new Africa exhibit.
At the video's end, zoo director Jack Hanna puts in his own pitch to the pop star: “I know you were in Africa doing one of your songs—it was spectacular, by the way. Here at the Columbus Zoo, you’re going to love this place. You really are.”
Swift's in town on her 1989 Tour tomorrow and Friday, September 17-18. Taylor, if you go, see the otters, too. They rule.
