See More Behind the Scenes Footage From Drake & Future's Mixtape Sessions

Update (10/2): And you thought you were only getting one glimpse into Drake and Future's What a Time to Be Alive studio sessions! Today we've got a second clip, also brief, also full of über-confident "we're at the top of the game" talk. This time producer Metro Boomin, who executive produced the mixtape and did seven of the 11 tracks, gets the spotlight.

Original story (9/25): No matter how much you're over- or underwhelmed with Future and Drake's surprise 11-song mixtape What a Time to Be Alive, the October's Very Own and Freeband Gang kings think it's really great. A brief new behind the scenes clip takes us into the studio where Drizzy and Hendrix are all starry eyed about each other and the bangers they're banging out.

"You're not gonna get the same result if you're not in this same building, with these individuals right here," Drake says of the mixtape that he, Futch, Metro Boomin, DJ Esco, Southside and a small handful of others cooked up in six days. Here's the video:

"We makin' this a whole new wave," Future muses. "We never, ever thought this would happen. This shit shouldn't've never happened. Who let it happen?!"

Also: Lots of dancing to What a Time to Be Alive opener "Digital Dash," which is no small treat when we're dealing with Esco, the man burning up the rooftop in the "Where Ya At" video.
