Watch the First Trailer for the New 'Jungle Book,' Which Looks Amazing

You might've heard sometime in the last few years that Disney has been cooking up a new live-action version of The Jungle Book. Today you're going to start hearing it from every single movie enthusiast you know, since the incredible trailer has arrived.

Get your minute-and-45-second glimpse of the new Jungle Book above. It comes from Jon Favreau, the actor-writer-director behind Elf, Chef, Iron Man and Iron Man 2. In the voice-acting roster are A-listers like Scarlett Johansson (Kaa, who narrates the trailer), Idris Elba (Shere Khan), Bill Murray (Baloo—yesss!), Lupita Nyong'o (Raksha), Christopher Walken (King Louie, the orangutan monarch), Ben Kingsley (Bagheera) and Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito (Akela).

So Mowgli's a little chap again, as he was in the animated 1967 original, unlike the grown fellow of the 1994 live-action version. The animals look super convincingly animated—we're getting Dawn of the Planet of the Apes vibes. There'll be waterfalls, leaps of faith, high-tension tree-scamper-fests and plenty more juicy set pieces.

The Jungle Book hits theaters April 15, 2016. While you wait, ponder Disney's just-announced Mary Poppins sorta-sequel, or the live-action Dumbo, or the live-action Aladdin prequel, Genies.
