Fall Out Boy Taps Demi Lovato (And Doug The Pug!) for ‘Irresistible’: Watch

Fall Out Boy has asked Demi Lovato to appear on a new version of their American Beauty/American Psycho track “Irresistible,” as the latest single from their sixth studio album. However, the accompanying music video features little to no Lovato, Stump, Wentz or any famous human — instead focusing on the tribulations of Internet-famous canine Doug The Pug.

Along with Lovato (whose new album Confident is out today) trading lines with Patrick Stump on the face-lifted track, the video features a famous dog envisioning himself as a Roman god. “Irresistible” follows “Uma Thurman,” a Top 20 hit for Fall Out Boy from their American Beauty/American Psycho album.

"'Irresistible' always felt like it could become something else, something exciting, strange, beyond...Demi Lovato has one of the most powerful voices today,” the band explained on their web site earlier this week, where they also announced a winter tour. “So we worked through an afternoon and she just got it. Excited for you guys to hear this new version."
