“On To Something Good,” the standout track from Ashley Monroe’s new album The Blade, is a deeply personal song for the country star. Monroe recently sat down with Fuse to discuss how her father’s untimely death at the age of 40 influenced the lead track on her latest solo full-length.
"For me, my big tragedy is I lost my father when I was 13,” says Monroe. “We were talking about the importance of, even when you don’t think you can keep on going, keep on going … There’s surely a reason why we survive the things that happen to us.”
