“Gold Slugs,” DJ Khaled’s fiery new single featuring Chris Brown, August Alsina and Fetty Wap, is one of the clear highlights of his just-released album, I Changed A Lot. The hip hop veteran recently stopped by Fuse to discuss the song, as well as the perfect time to wear a gold grill in public.

“I wanted to capture something that the streets could relate to,” Khaled tells Fuse. “I remember making ‘I’m So Hood,’ and [with] ‘I’m So Hood,’ even if you wasn’t from the hood, you felt like you were from the hood when you heard the song. It made a certain feeling, a certain energy, a vibe. I felt like slugs did that as well.”
