Hip hop is all about hot singles, but for veteran MC Joe Budden, an uncompromising vision for new album All Love Lost couldn’t buckle to commercial aspiration. The rapper stopped by Fuse to discuss the “darker” and “more detailed” follow-up to 2013’s No Love Lost album, which hit stores last month.
“I couldn’t really create the album that I wanted to make, and appease the label at the same time,” explains Budden. “And they were supportive in that. They allowed me to fulfill my vision, so that was great.”
Watch Budden discuss the feel and purpose of the album, and check back with Fuse later this week for more with the rapper!
