James Corden's done his Carpool Karaoke bit with Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder and Iggy Azalea—but Justin Bieber is the first to have the honor of a second turn. On Wednesday night, the Purpose star joined the Late Late Show host for a ride around L.A., busting out versions of the 2010 hit "Never Say Never" and his new smash "What Do You Mean?"
Then, after a interlude about getting Corden up to Biebs' style status, things got real.
In the second half of the ride, starting around the 7:30 mark, the dudes—who are getting pretty BFF-y these days—rock to Kanye West's "Stronger" and Bieber's "shower song," Alanis Morissette's "Ironic." "Don't my my heart melt right now," he tells Corden the second the track hits the radio.
Then they wrap it up with the top song all respectable Americans are currently bumping in the whip: "Sorry."
In tandem with the 20th anniversary edition of Alanis' "Jagged Little Pill," "Ironic" has gotten a few late night reworks in recent weeks. First the singer did her hit on Fallon, dressed as a chicken, performed solely through clucks; then she did a 2015 lyric-update with, yes, James Corden.
