Meek Mill opted to enjoy himself at a Cavaliers vs. 76ers game in his native Philadelphia on Monday night. But just where he thought he was safest, he couldn't avoid another media nudge about his summertime nemesis, Drake.
Comcast SportsNet reporter Molly French slid up next to Meek and hit him with this semi-contrived dot-connecting Q: "Drake's a Toronto guy. What's your message to him, with your hometown Sixers here looking good against the Cavs?"
From the get-go, the look in French's eyes says, "Eek, I hope this goes alright." Meek's face, meanwhile turns into a panic-grin before he disengages completely, moving into Drakeless hype-speech: "I'm riding with Philly, you know, Philly riding with me, so I'm riding with the Sixers to the fullest. You know what time it is, we rocking out to the end, no matter how the season go."
Anyone wondering why she didn't go for the jugular with the more topical (and vicious) beef, Meek vs. his Maybach Music Group label-mate Wale? Sub in "Wale's from D.C." and you've got an infinitely better chance at Meek throwing serious, non-boilerplate shade. Please take notes, next basketball game reporter.
