'Saturday Night Live' Honors Paris with Moving Cold Open: Watch
A little over 24 hours after news broke of the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday night (Nov. 13), Saturday Night Live had a 90-minute comedy show to put on. In a touching move, however, the show decided to forgo its usual cold-open sketch, instead honoring the city and people of Paris with a tribute from Cecily Strong.
"Paris is the city of light," Strong said to the crowd, "and here in New York City, we know that light will never go out. Our love and support is with everyone there tonight. We stand with you."
SNL will be back next week with Matthew McConaughey as host and Adele as the musical performer.
