Run-down, hole-in-a-wall bars that don't play by the rules are usually the best and according to these artists we caught up with at this year's Firefly Music Festival, there may be a few chill spots in your city.
"The bartender is super grumpy and wears a Hawaiian shirt and just kind of goes 'argh' and gives you your drink. So you know... good energy again, it's pretty cool," says drummer Gabe Stein of indie rock band Finish Ticket while talking about his favorite San Francisco dive bar.
