#TBT 2005: Kanye West Deems Himself the 'Rap Version of Dave Chappelle'
After debuting his now-classic album The College Dropout in 2004, Kanye West continued raising eyebrows with the release of Late Registration the following year.
In an interview with Fuse over a decade ago, the Chicago native compared his style to that of stand-up legend Dave Chappelle.
"I'm like the rap version of Dave Chapelle. A lot of times, I'll make you laugh to keep from crying," West explains. "I always think about entertainment first."
Yeezy also revealed how he came up with the title for his sophomore LP, as well as what he plans to name his fourth album.
