Banks & Steelz Talk 'Edgy' Debut Album 'Anything But Words'

After hitting up the studio back in 2011, Banks & Steelz finally dropped their debut album Anything But Words last month—just before hitting Made in America.

"I think [the album] is a nice range of different vibes. It's fun, it's insightful...edgy, of course," RZA explains before pointing at the hip-hop/indie duo's other half, Paul Banks. "This guy is Mr. Edge—y'all see that edge?"

The two musicians also revealed that they were initially introduced via their current manager, Tyler Childs. After meeting in New York City and bonding over chess matches, RZA and Banks eventually recorded a demo that fell into the hands of Warner Bros.
