Nina Diaz, the leader of beloved indie rockers Girl in a Coma, has gone solo and zagged in an entirely different direction. Watch the music video for new track “Trick Candle,” premiering exclusively on Fuse, above.

Girl in a Coma received guidance from Joan Jett and an opening slot on Morrissey’s tour, but Diaz's debut full-length, The Beat Is Dead, Diaz is putting forth something more accessible but no less ferocious. With its colorful music video, “Trick Candle” celebrates Michael Hutchence from INXS, whom Diaz says is “somebody who’ll never burn out.”
