Two years after giving birth to her son, Christina Aguilera sat down with journalist Jancee Dunn to discuss the importance of creating safe environments for children.
"It's so important for every child to feel that they have a safe place to go home to. When I went home, I didn't know what I was going to walk into," the singer explained, referring to her own past of growing up in an abusive household.
Aguilera added that her lack of control over her childhood environment led her to become a perfectionist, whether it's through her music or as a mother.
