Léon Explains Creation of 'Tired of Talking': Fuse First Interview
There are certain songs that stop you in your tracks as you try to figure out exactly what genre they fit inside. Léon's stunning "Tired of Talking" is one of those songs, with its mix of twangy folk, uplifting pop melodies and disco groove all centered around the Swedish singer-songwriter's impassioned vocal performance. Fuse is proud to name the Katy Perry–approved Léon as our latest Fuse First artist, and to learn more about her early start in the industry.
"It's the first song I've been writing where I say goodbye to someone," she says of "Tired of Talking" when Fuse meets with her at the Crosby Street Hotel in Soho. "I tend to always dwell in my feelings, being heartbroken and feeling myself [laughs]. Being in that dark place, I had just got out of a weird place [when creating the song], and I think that shows in the lyrics."
Léon adds that she created the song with her producing partner and Swedish schoolmate Agrin Rahmani and it originally boasted a low-key, country feel before adding additional sonic influences in the track.
