It's hard to believe that over a decade has passed since Green Day blessed the world with American Idiot, the band's career-defining seventh album that featured singles "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "Wake Me Up When September Ends" and, of course, "American Idiot."
When asked in a 2005 interview how much they care about critics, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong simply said, "It's great. I mean, we just want people to like our music. It's out there for everyone to enjoy."
Armstrong also shared how momentous it was to actually perform American Idiot in its entirety, which was just as important as recording the album.
