Mark McMorris Gives Tips for Snowboarding in Los Angeles at 2017 Air + Style Fest: Watch
Last year at Shaun White's Air + Style festival, Mark McMorris learned the hard way how different snowboarding in Los Angeles is when the Canadian snowboarder broke his femur. But after six months off and rehab, the 23-year-old Olympic medal winner is having a great season and happy to be back for the latest iteration of the fest.
"Snowboarding here in L.A. is definitely a trip," he shares in front of the fest's 16-story, snow-covered jump. "Everything's really soft, your boots feel soft, your board feels soft, the snow's kind of funky. But with the temps, it makes everything a little bumpy, so you just need to really be on it, and focus from start to finish."
McMorris also says he's most looking forward to seeing Russ perform live and gives more tips about competing at Air + Style in the full interview above.
