While the plot of the Power Rangers movie doesn't stray far from Saban's '90s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series, the film's narrative digs deep into each Ranger's backstory.
Ludi Lin, (Zack), Becky G (Trini), Dacre Montgomery (Jason), Naomi Scott (Kimberly), RJ Cyler (Billy) stopped by to chat about their characters' individuality and what each Ranger seeks as ordinary teens.
Becky G (Yellow Ranger) tells Fuse that Trini struggles with her own identity. "I guess she doesn't really know who she is and where she belongs in the world and she kind of struggles with that," she says. Becky adds that Trini is very relatable and that it was an honor to play a character with her story, despite identifying with Kimberly.
Next up, watch the cast talk about what it was like joining the franchise and the difficulty of using stunt doubles on set.
