Blackbear Talks Fans, Music, And Anxiety At Lollapalooza After Show 2018

From a full set at Lollapalooza to a headline for the Official Lollapalooza Aftershow, 27-year-old Blackbear was on the move this past weekend. We got a chance to catch up with the songwriter and producer before his after show set at the infamous House of Blues in Chicago.

Currently on a sold out tour until mid October, the "Do Re Mi" artist was ready for a more intimate venue. 

"I've done arenas, and sometimes it feels like you're the only one in the room. So here it feels dope," says the Florida native.

The "Anexity" artist, who has collaborated with artist such as Gucci Mane, Justin Bieber, G-Eazy and Machine Gun Kelly, also talked about maturing in both life and in music. 

"I'm making music more for myself and for them too. I've grown up alot," he says. 

The Hip-Hop/Pop artist, who put out his first EP close to 10 years ago, is causing much hype with the official summer anthem "IDWK" with DVBBS
