Swedish singer and songwriter Clara Mae has been grinding in the music industry for some time now. She competed in a Swedish singing competition in her preteen years and went on to join the iconic 90s band Ace of Base in 2009. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, she’s also got cowriter credits on tracks by David Guetta and Tiesto, developing a reputation for powerful lyrics that connect with her fans. So by the time she dropped her debut single “I’m Not Her,” an empowering anthem, it was clear that Clara Mae was here to stay.
“I put so much effort into my lyrics and to hear that they can help people get back together or forget someone, get over someone, makes me very happy,” she tells Fuse in our latest episode of Slide in My DMs.
The “I Forgot” singer, who recently dropped her EP Sorry For Writing All The Songs About You, stopped by Fuse and showed us what was going down in her DMs. Watch the whole clip to see Clara Mae’s best DMs, from young girl who uses her songs to stand up to bullies to international fans learning English through her music.
