It's certainly a good day for fans of Baltimore music. First, Charm City's own Animal Collective dropped a pair of new songs, and now Beach House is streaming their new album, Bloom, online a week before its official release. Listen at NPR.

This one I'm particularly thrilled for. Beach House's last album, Teen Dream, was one of my top 10 picks from 2010, thanks to its dreamy, floating-in-the-clouds pop sound and singer Victoria Legrand's emotionally-pained lyrics of love lost and found. The duo expand upon that, pushing deeper musically, with their new album, and this time Legrand's vocals command the limelight. It's a beautiful listen.

So, stop wasting time and jam out to Bloom, then tell us what you think in the comments section.
