LMFAO's Redfoo Takes Up Pro Tennis!
While LMFAO is on hiatus, and we're seriously broken up about it, we might just get to watch Redfoo in an arena for a different reason.
The 37-year-old is attempting to qualify for the U.S. Open this summer. "It's always been a dream of mine to play professional tennis," Redfoo said.
ESPN reports that Redfoo "played tennis as a junior and has attended some of the Grand Slam tournaments." He also hosted his own women's tournament last year called "The Party Rock Open."
And now Redfoo's stepping onto the court with the pros. On June 18, he will compete at the USTA Northern California Sectional qualifying tournament in Salinas, CA under his real name Stefan Gordy. He'll also play mixed doubles alongside a 17-year-old named Ayaka Okuno, whom he—who knew?—actually coaches.
There is no word on how Skyblu feels about not being Redfoo's doubles partner.
