Ariana Grande had to cut a recent trip to the Northeast short, but given the circumstances, it's easy to see why: Grande's grandfather isn't feeling so great, and the pop star canceled a few gigs and booked a flight to Miami in order to spend time with her family.
Grande has kept the Arianators abreast of the situation, as she's mentioned her ailing grandfather a few times while promoting new single "Break Free" and discussing details about her recently announced and soon to be released record, My Everything. One can hardly fault her for backing out of The Roots' annual July 4th picnic in Philadelphia when she did so in order to be by her grandpa's side. If anything, the totally selfless and compassionate move makes us love AG that much more.
