Little Mix's "Weird People" Heads to the '80s: Listen
So far, the tracks we've heard on Little Mix's upcoming Get Weird album have touched on '90s bubblegum ("Black Magic"), '50s doo-wop ("Love Me Like You") and modern-day rhythmic pop ("Hair"). Now the U.K. girl group is taking us to the '80s.
The latest song to be revealed from their Get Weird record, "Weird People" has booming drum machines, old-school synths and vocoder samples that recall some Prince and Janet Jackson productions from the time. But it'd be tough to call this an R&B or straight-up pop jam since the gals' fierce vocal delivery harkens back to '80s rock as well.
