Kendrick Lamar snuck up on us overnight and put out "The Heart Part 4," his first solo release since untitled unmastered. surprise-dropped in March 2016. For the closing line, K. Dot lets the world know "y'all got till April the 7th to get ya’ll shit together."

Considering how quickly a mysterious Instagram post reading "IV" led to this track, we're comfortable assuming April 7 is the date for Kendrick's fourth studio album. He promises that he'll threepeat with another classic album and put "the whole industry on the ice pack."

Listen to "The Heart Part 4" above. It's a two-part beat produced by Axl Folie, The Alchemist, Syk Sense and DJ Dahi, with the chill intro giving way to the intense back half at 1:35.

Lyrically, Kendrick wisely finds yet another way to deliver a classic "I am the greatest rapper alive” line, and speaks on Trump:

Donald Trump is a chump, know how we feel, punk
Tell 'em that God comin'
And Russia need a replay button, y'all up to somethin'
Electorial votes look like memorial votes
But America's truth ain't ignorin' the votes

The first "The Heart" track dropped way back in the mixtape days of 2010; the latest was in 2012, right before the debut album Section.80. Next, watch Kendrick talk to Fuse about good kid, m.A.A.d city back in the day:
