Ruth B. Talks Creative Process, How She Tests Out New Songs on Her Uber Drivers

Catch music videos, interviews and more exclusives with the "Superficial Love" singer-songwriter all month on Fuse, Fuse.tv and on the Fuse TV app

Ruth B. has already garnered loads of co-signs for her music—debut single "Lost Boy" hit the Top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles while her must-hear latest "Superficial Love" is a rising hit—but the latest Fuse First artist tells us she has a curious way of testing out new material.

"When I'm in an Uber, I'll ask for the aux cord, I'll plug my phone in and I'll start playing my songs that no one would know," the singing social star tells us. "I ask the Uber driver for their opinion on the songs and I feel like it's a really good way to get the opinions of everyday people and what they think. It's actually really fun. And when they ask who it is, I just make up the most random name ever." Uber drivers, pay attention next time your passenger asks for the aux cord.
