As I Lay Dying's Tim Lambesis Released From Jail on Bail
A little over three weeks after As I Lay Dying singer Tim Lambesis was arrested for allegedly soliciting an undercover detective to murder his wife, the metal singer has been released from San Diego jail.
According to Metal Injection, Lambesis was released Thursday evening despite the hefty bail amount: $2 million. Prior to his release, a judge said Lambesis would be required to wear a GPS bracelet if he were released and ordered him to stay away from his wife and children.
Although Lambesis pleaded not guilty to the murder-for-hire charge, his attorney later argued that the metal singer shouldn't be held fully responsible for his actions due to 'roid rage. "His thought processes were devastatingly affected by his steroid use," the defense argued in court.
As for the rest of As I Lay Dying, the Christian metal rockers have remained mum on the subject since the initial statement they made: "The legal process is taking its course and we have no more information than you do."
