Over the weekend in Perth, Australia, Bruce Springsteen opened his concert with a thunderous cover of the AC/DC classic "Highway to Hell," a rendition that is right up there with his best ever covers.
It was a nod, of course, to the country's best known and beloved band, but it was also the sort of thing that keeps shows fun for someone like Springsteen who has been touring for over 40 years: It appears to be the first time that he and the E Street band have ever played "Highway to Hell" at a concert.
Though it may be the one and only time Springsteen plays that song, there's likely to be equally appealing surprises on his forthcoming American tour in support of his latest album High Hopes.
