There are two ways to frame the most exciting Beyoncé news that's emerged since whichever perfect Instagram post she most recently shared. One is: "Beyoncé may have more music coming this fall and we know about it because the owner of a shoe brand let it slip that she bought some $200,000 pair of stilettos for the music video."
The other way: "Beyoncé making a music video wearing $200,000 shoes is clearly a thing that will definitely happen, and where did we leave the keys to the time machine so we can get there before dinner?" The only thing we don't know is if the clip will herald a new album or not.
The info came from an interview with England's Birmingham Mail over the weekend. Christopher Shellis, owner of House of Borgezie, told the paper that Queen Bey had purchased the appropriately regal Princess Constellation shoes "for her next video which should be out in the autumn." Or so he was told.
Aug. 13 will mark a year and eight months since the surprise drop of BEYONCÉ, and it's already been months since the early 2015 rumors about a Bey/Jay Z collaboration album. So this fall is a reasonable time to expect more Yoncé.
In the meantime, you obviously need more info on the shoes, via Mr. Shellis:
“They are the crown jewels of stilettos. They’re a bit like the 1960s E Type Jag—it doesn’t matter what you do, you’re not going to improve on them. Occasionally in a designer or artist’s life there may come a moment in time when you stand back and realise you may just have created your finest work so far. I think this is truly that moment. Like any royal crown, the Princess Constellation will still be here in a thousand years time.”
And he's dutifully psyched about the whole thing. "It’s the ultimate, Beyoncé’s one of those fantasy customers, he told the paper. “If you want someone to model your creations, you can’t get any better than Beyoncé.” Or, possibly, Cinderella.
