Are you sitting down? Sit down. This is a big one. You know our pal Zayn Malik? The former One Direction dreamboat? You might remember that he left the world's biggest boy band to be a "normal 22 year old," and then later to pursue his own music? The time has come.
Malik is The Fader's latest cover star. In a video tease for the feature, we see Zayn riding on a small motorcycle, shirtless and near a campfire, alone. The best part? The music in the background of the clip is "Befour," our first taste of Zayn's debut solo album for RCA Records. What are you waiting for? Press play already!
It's an instrumental track, and the production is nowhere close to 1D's signature sound. This, my friends, is a new Zayn.
He tells the Fader in the vid:
"Life experiences has been the influence for the album, stuff I've been through especially in the last five years with being in the band and everything. It's quite a personal album. We recorded a lot of it out in the woods and stuff...I used to listen to a lot of Bollywood, being a kid and stuff, that definitely influenced the music a little bit."
