Lauren Graham stopped by Ellen on Thursday for a brief chat and a pretty decent Gilmore Girls reveal. The actress—who like Melissa McCarthy noted just how emotional the reunion has been—told Ellen DeGeneres about the forthcoming revival format, which will be a direct reflection of what the show's actually called.
According to Graham, Netflix is primed to unveil Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life later this year. The show will be comprised of four 90-minute episodes titled "Winter," "Spring," "Summer," and "Fall," all of which will center around one year of events in Stars Hollow.
Gushing all sorts of emotion, Graham thanked the fans:
"I love this character so much and I have the same feeling I had when I first opened that script, which was just such a deep connection. And to get to do it again, who would have imagined? Netflix had to be invented, [the fans] had to want it back...thank you."
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is expected to appear on Netflix around Christmas. The full episode of Ellen featuring Graham, Drew Carey and Blake Shelton will air on Monday, May 23.
